  Hi..thank you so much for all your helpful info. I have them in my car. 🙁 I was wondering your thoughts on if I was to take it to the desert for a couple of days if it would do anything? It’s about 110 there now.

  That might do it. You could also try putting a dehumidifier in it overnight for a few weeks. They get desiccated without moisture. Good luck!
  
  Another two strategies are vacuuming morning and night plus spraying with about 75% proof alcohol and wiping it down. Do this consistently and daily.
