My story is a curse that has followed me from one dwelling to another. Before I moved, a birds nest had been inhabited by house sparrows and their babies in early spring 2020. The fledglings flew off and parents did too, the nest fell and made a big mess on the patio, by our slider door. Shortly after the nest fell, I was sitting in a lazy boy recliner inside my home and the chair was located about 10 feet from the outside patio where the nest fell. Suddenly I felt a crawling swarming sensation on my forearm, and I didn’t know what it was. I went outside in the sunlight with a magnifier and saw these little teeny tiny rust colored flecks swarming in all directions on my skin, like panicked ants do but super tiny, like microscopic eraser shavings, so small. I freaked out and got some rubbing alcohol and sprayed it on them and the sensation stopped. Thinking it was a one time occurence, I decided to sit in the chair again, thinking it was not going to reoccur. It DID reoccur and the same thing happened but I started feeling them more. I sprayed the chair with alcohol and vacuumed, and thought that would take care of it. Nope. I felt them again, and my Mom also started to feel them in her room. I threw out the chair, but it was too late, these things had found their way to the bedrooms, kitchen mostly by the sink, and bathrooms. We felt them every day and night. We treated the home before we left but had boxes sitting in the living room before we treated. When we moved, we started feeling these things again. Logic says they must have harbored in the boxes and found their way to our living spaces like before. I am still battling them and will have to have my new home treated. This is a curse from hell and has frayed my nerves, and I cannot fully relax anymore. I can no longer see them but feel the crawling sensation and little chomod now and then. These things can travel with you. Has anyone else had this happen, where they stow away in moving boxes? It is a NIGHTMARE my friends. Praying they will go away with treatment. There are no more bird nests related to this new situation. Just mites that travelled from where there was one far away.

Yes it happened to me. Everywhere I go they go. They get in your things and travel that way. They also travel in your hair and clothes. I also believe they are in the environment outside at my house. I believe the only way to beat them is by moving and leave everything behind and start completely over. You would need to make sure they are off of you before moving in the new house too so you wouldn’t want to move straight there. It takes 7 days for eggs to hatch so you would need to treat yourself longer than that before moving in. I’ve been dealing with it almost 2 years and have moved twice but I didn’t leave everything behind. I was very careful but I still took them with me. It’s a serious problem for sure. I want to mention that steam mopping the floor helps me keep the numbers down and I know Lysol kills them but my house is too large to spray as often as I would need to to get rid of them. I’m fixing to try diet and eliminate sugar and gluten. I know I have a yeast problem, I’m hoping if I get rid of that it will help.
