I’m three years into this and running out of ideas. I know I can kill them in the house absolutely no problem (kleen green and bleach)
But the issue is that they are living and breeding in my feet and I just can’t get them out.
I’ve done everything, sulphur, nu stock, neem, kleen green, tea tree, but no matter what they just keep coming. I’m loving an ok life now compared to what it was, but I just want my life back.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know

Hydrogen peroxide (wet on paper towel) as a spot treatment? Aloe vera gel? salicylic acid pads?

I’ve tried hydrogen peroxide and it didn’t work. The problem is that I can kill them with kleen green etc but because they are so deep in the skin, it can’t reach them. The aloe Vera may potentially be worth a try but I think I’ll have the same issue xx

I know this is a late reply, but it’s for others who may be dealing with the same. I’m beginning to wonder if the “end stage” symptoms are the feet. I’m only 2 months into my ordeal, and I’ve been on ivermectin, plus doing all kinds of essential oils and treatments, and have reduced the mite population on me significantly. But now they are mostly in my feet also, and still always hiding in my hair. I’ve resorted to vacuuming them out of there! But have also had good effect with a straightening iron. And I’m considering one of those new blow drying hair bonnets to fry them.
For foot remedies, I read about a women who wore wellies filled with salt water, and that took a while, but eventually she got the last of them. I’m going to try a couple of things. First, putting my feet into large plastic oven bags, the kind for cooking turkeys, sealing them around my mid calf with strong tape, and inside the bags will be diatomaceous earth. Then I’ll enjoy a movie or two, regularly shaking the bag and massaging my feet.
Another remedy that worked before I knew I needed it was to add diatomaceous earth to body wash with VERY little water, worked up into a clay slurry. Then I washed my feet away from running shower water so that the clay stayed thick, and then scrubbed vigorously. At the end of the shower, there were SO many dead bugs all around my ankles and under my feet it was disgusting!
Unfortunately, I think they got hip to that after the 1st time, and now when I shower, they run up, away from my feet or perhaps go deeper? Though they do return to the outer feet once I’ve put dry clothes on and the shower ordeal is over.
Another thing to try is a bentonite clay foot soak. And maybe add essential oils to the soak? What works best for me is never a one-variable approach, but to throw the kitchen sink at them. Instead of one essential oil, use several at a time. Tea tree, eucalyptus and clove kill them (and possibly cedarwood too), but rosemary and frankincense seem to dull them down long enough to allow the others to kill them. When I use just one killer oil, they get frenzied, and run from it, sometimes into my eyes and nose WITH THE ESSENTIAL OIL ON THEM! But not with the combo.
One thing I’ve learned about why they go to my feet is that’s one of the hottest and most humid areas when I’m wearing socks and/or shoes in summer. Since I’m running the A/C and my dehumidifier to kill them in my house, there’s very little moisture for them. But my feet in socks do get sweaty and that’s where I find lots of red mites. I used to wear shoe booties, just over my socks when I cleaned, but one day realized how wet my feet felt and looked inside the bootie to see a bunch of red mites in them. And found more when I lint rolled my socks.
The trick is to keep your feet (and everything) SAHARA DRY!!!
Hope this helps others!
