Hello to all. My story starts out with a close friend of mine telling me she has scabies. She is aged and lives behind me in a mobile home. She said she knows thats what it was because she had them before when she was young. The doctor that saw her however told her she had not seen any like that before. So I tried to limit my contact with her as much as possible but she is aged and alone and I try and help her out at times. Well I started itching about 4 weeks after she said she had them. I went to a dermatologist twice and was told I don’t have scabies because there is no rash. My friend didn’t have one either. Anyway I feel something biting me and it happens especially when I put on clean clothes. I’ve been treating myself as if I have scabies and have quarantined myself until I know what it it. I think it may be bird mites but I’m not sure. I had a bird nest on my deck a few months ago and I picked it up. I don’t know if it would take that long to feel bites or not. I also have rabbits inside the house and so I always have hay. I had bought some rye hay and one rabbit would not get into the litter box with it so I was worried that something was in that so it’s in the freezer right now. I stuck some tape over some places that felt like I was being bitten and it looked like a tiny black speck on it. I’d like to find out some things that may help me pinpoint what it is. I get bitten but I have no rashes. It’s been almost 4 weeks I’ve been itching. I can feel it bite but can’t see anything except that speck which I’m not sure if that was anything or not. Is there someone who can come here and tell me? I take a bath at night for 20 mins with Tea Tree and Clove oil. Afterwards I but 3 drops of clove oil in lotion and put it all over me. I read it was supposed to kill them. In the mornings I take a shower and do the same thing afterwards with the lotion. I change twice a day and wash all clothes and bedding every day in hot water then dry in dryer except my pillow and blanket which I put in the car. Its in full sun all day and I’ve read that the temperature is high enough to kill them. I’ve been vacuuming and using a disinfectant I made out of alcohol, vinegar and Clove oil that I spray around the floor where I sleep. What I really need is to know what it is so I can deal with it properly. Any ideas?

It could be Collembola mites – this is what I came to the conclusion for for me. Please see my story that I posted today. I hope it will help you to be free of these awful things too. FinallyFree x

I really appreciate the response of FinallyFree and I am going to get myself checked out because I do believe I am iodine deficient because I became a vegetarian last year. I will update once I find out.
