I wish i would have known these things when i first had it. Sadly after 8 yrs, they’ve returned, due to an abandoned nest near my air conditioner. I can say, that even though the crawling, stinging, burning sensation has returned, i know how to handle them, and am confident they will be gone soon. As i write, i haven’t felt any activity all day, so i know i am getting rid of them soon, not like the 2 yrs it took the first time. Please contact me if you want tips, cause they do work
Carabear004ParticipantHad 2 different exterminators, both claimed to be experts with bird mites, first laid glue traps and concluded there was only lint in them, no problem. Second charged us $2500 to get whole house sprayed, and after being told to not enter until 6 hrs later, i experienced the worst bites ever. It had only made them mad, not killed them. After much research, i learned, products that contained ENZYMES, is what kills them. I found great success with Kleen Green and TweetMint. I also used edible DE and took 1000mg of MSM.
Carabear004ParticipantYes, I beat them about 8 yrs ago and something has recently brought them back, but i know how to deal with them now and am confident i won’t have them for 3 yrs like i did the first time. Thanks to John Doe (Bill), his suggestions helped a lot back then and now I have a lot of suggestions of my own! The main thing to do is to treat the inside as well as the outside. I will post what helped me the first time and is also helping now, if anyone is interested…
