Structured Silver – Drink 8 oz. all at once to begin. Then 2 tablespoons twice a day for 3 months. After 3 months drink 2 teaspoons twice a day for maintenance.

I also suggest people join the Bird Mite Sufferers and Survivors Group on FB. Tons of great information!!!

Another thing you can use on your body is Sticky Mix. Mix small handful of Borax laundry soap or Boric acid, with 4 Alka Seltzer tablets (crushed or broken into smaller pieces), then a small amount of boiled water (it will fizz), then 1/4 cup of Glycerin. It cures better on the second day.

I also strongly recommend Eurax lotion from the UK. Use it like scabies protocol. Leave it on for at least 48 hours without showering. It kills mites and eggs. You can use it after initial use as well, for as long as you feel you need it.

I am almost free, but I didn’t leave my job this time and I kept my car, so getting clean is taking longer. Mites like my work laptop, blah. My car is fine though, but I sprayed the heck out of it multiple times with straight ammonia.

The Benzoyl Peroxide seems interesting. I wonder how it would work if I cut it with the Nu Stock? Hm…giving me ideas. The coconut oil is good, just messy.

I’m at work right now with Nu Stock on. I had been having better and better days and then starting last Friday the office population seems to have exploded. Probably eggs that hatched from a couple weeks ago. Argh!

My car is quiet and my apartment is fine, it’s just the damned office. I cannot be as aggressive in the office as I would be at home, because I have to be mindful of my coworkers and my files. The carpet at the office is horrible!!!

I am seriously considering buying dry ice. There was a study out of China that indicates CO2 kills 100% of mites if done long enough with the right amount for the space.

    I believe you.

I hope you have used some of the solutions on this site to get some relief.

You may want to read a book called The Year of the Mite by Jane Ishka.

You aren’t crazy. You can read my story for details, but I’ve had them too. My siblings, my ex and a couple of my nieces got them as well. We all got rid of them. You can too!

You might want to invest in Nu Stock and pure Neem. Don’t buy lotion or spray with Neem in it. You want pure Neem. Put that in your hair and all over your body. Sleep with it on. If you locate Nu Stock wear that on your body at night and on your feet during the day. Keep putting Neem in your hair to go to bed.

Please read the posts I’ve made on this site about getting rid of them. Please hang in there. You aren’t crazy! This will pass.

You aren’t crazy. Read my story.

    Hang in there!

Don’t waste your money. Clean like your life depends on it. Ammonia in wash water. Wipe things down with at least 75% alcohol. Vacuum!! Wash clothes in borax, ammonia & your regular detergent. Keep things in plastic bags until you need them.

First, almost my entire family had it: 4 sisters, 2 grown nieces, my ex and me. We all beat them – so it is possible. Everyone but me kept working during the ordeal so it is do able.

I’m going to just give you things we did that worked. You can read my story if you want, if you want more details.

If she is moving just to get rid of the mites, she may as well stay put and fight them there. They will come with her. Yes, they are on her and she will take them with her.

Tell her to buy a dehumidifier, two if she has a big house. She also needs to buy a bed bug proof zippered mattress cover. She needs to vacuum her bed daily and spray it with alcohol. She can wash her pillow daily or get a zippered pillow cover as well and treat it like the bed.

She can get rid of unnecessary books and paperwork, cause they love paper! If she has important paperwork tell her to put it in the freezer section of her fridge. Mites are killed by the cold. She could take them to storage and hope for the best, but they could last a long time on them. She might need to leave them for a year or more.

Some people don’t keep cotton clothes cause they think the mites live and breed in them, but that’s debatable. I opted for synthetic clothes and that seemed to help, didn’t hurt anyway. I invested in shoes that could go in the wash. I washed clothes in the hottest water with a cup of Borax and ammonia in every load. I used 2 bounce sheets in the dryer. If she is going to keep her cotton things, tell her to soak them in water with ammonia and borax for at least an hour before washing them. She needs to switch to non-cotton bedding and wash them first thing in the morning along with her night clothes. Tell her to keep her clothes in plastic bags that are always tied.

When she showers tell her to use Dawn dish liquid or Sunlight. Don’t bother with tea tree oil shampoo, etc. it doesn’t help anyway. Essential oils does nothing.

She needs to wash her walls, floors and possibly her ceiling if she’s been infested for awhile. She needs to get a microfiber mop and then use ammonia and water. That’s it. Nothing fancy. She needs to wash her walls and floors daily until she gets a handle on it.

If she had carpet she needs to vacuum like crazy and make sure the dehumidifier is nearby. Vacuum twice daily and, if it has a bag, tape up the bag, put it in a garbage bag, tie it and throw it away. If it is a canister, she needs to rinse it with ammonia water after vacuuming. If she has a vehicle they are probably in there too. She needs to spray it and wipe it down with alcohol and then vacuum it. She could also use a steam cleaner the first few times. Vacuuming and consistent cleaning is the key.

She needs to wash her bathroom down from top to bottom daily. Wipe her shower/bath, toilet, sink down with 75% proof alcohol and wipe off with paper towel. Wash her bathroom floors with the ammonia & water.

They are probably in her hair, on her skin and under her nails. She needs to get undiluted Neem oil. She can slather her entire body and her hair with it at night and sleep that way. She can wash it off in the morning with Dawn. If possible tell her to buy Nu Stock. It is for pets and she will need to cut it with Aveeno or some other lotion. It’s 70% Nu stock and 30% lotion. She can go stronger if her skin can handle it. Nu stock works! She uses it like Neem. Not sure if she needs to work, but if she does she can leave the Nu Stock on her feet during the day.

The mites that bit her may have had bacteria, if that’s the case she needs to use colloidal silver or better yet, structured silver. It works to kill the bacteria from the inside. There is a method they use with colloidal silver to treat Lime disease. For bad cases they drink about 8 oz. right off the bat and then 4 tablespoons twice daily for 3 months. Then she can move to 2 tablespoons twice daily for maintenance.

Tell her good luck! I believe in her. Tell her it is POSSIBLE. We all beat these things and she can too! One day at a time and be consistent. I don’t know if she can message me on this site, but if she can tell her I’m open to speaking with her. There is HOPE.

That might do it. You could also try putting a dehumidifier in it overnight for a few weeks. They get desiccated without moisture. Good luck!

Another two strategies are vacuuming morning and night plus spraying with about 75% proof alcohol and wiping it down. Do this consistently and daily.

Use ammonia with water to wash your floors and walls daily, buy a dehumidifier (or two if you have a big house), wash your bathroom with 75% alcohol daily. Vacuum like crazy everyday, your house and your vehicle. Wash your laundry with a cup of ammonia and Borax with every load. Buy bed bug proof zippered mattress covers.

Mites die in the cold so you might want to put your precious books and paperwork in the freezer for a few days, and get rid of the paper stuff you don’t need. They love paper!

Use undiluted Neem oil for your body or Nustock (cut with Aveeno or other type of lotion) and then drink colloidal silver or structured silver. Good luck.

Read my story for more details. When we had them, we tried many things. My sister tried the foggers, pest control people and nothing worked. What worked was hard work, persistence and the things I listed above.

We used to send samples to a local epidemiologist at a nearby college. They all came back negative as well. I think it’s tough to get a viable sample.

There are probably biting bird mites in your house. Use ammonia with water to wash your floors and walls, buy a dehumidifier (or two if you have a big house), wash your bathroom with 75% alcohol. Vacuum like crazy everyday, your house and your vehicle.

Use undiluted Neem oil for your body or Nustock (cut with Aveeno or other type of lotion) and then drink colloidal silver or structured silver. Good luck.

I did when we first got them back in 2017. I got from from a book I borrowed from my sister. I took leave from my job and lost about 50 lbs. from all the hard work, but I did it.

What worked for me. I got rid of my bed and slept on a blow up mat that I could wipe off every morning with about 90% proof alcohol in a spray bottle. I wrapped my pillow in a garbage bag and put the pillow case over that. I washed my bedding & clothing daily, including my washable shoes. I used borax and a cup of ammonia in every load of laundry.

I bought a dehumidifier and kept it running constantly in the main area of the apartment. This was the beginning of the end for the mites I believe.

I sat only a lawn chair and got rid of most of my belongings.

I showered in the morning and bathed at night. I used Dawn dish soap only as both shampoo and wash soap.

The most important tools for the environment are as follows. 99% alcohol which I cut with water till it was about 75% proof. I used this in a spray bottle and sprayed down my sleep mat and the tub, toilet and sink and kitchen counters. I wiped them off with paper towels.

I used ammonia that went in the floor wash water (about 1/2 cup for about 3 litres) and in the laundry. Ammonia is strong use a mask to pour it in the water or keep your face turned away as you pour. I used a micro fiber mop and gloves to wring it out before washing the floors & the walls. I washed the entire apartment daily at first. In the beginning twice daily. I was on a mission. Eventually you’ll get back to a normal cleaning routine. That was it for the environment. I tried DE and salt in the beginning but it just created a big mess and didn’t work anyway.

On my body I used too many things to mention, but what I believe finally worked were Neem oil (undiluted) and Nustock (cut with Aveeno, about 80/20). Nustock is what farmers put on their livestock when animals get bald patches. I think what is happening to them is a type of mite as well. I used Neem last and it was the nail on the coffin. I would put Neem all over my body and sleep that way. It took me a long time to get them out of my feet and I would just put Nustock on my feet all day and wear it inside my socks. I did not use Neem and Nustock together. I did however also use Nustock all over my body and sleep in it. I think I used Nustock at night and Neem in the day? I can’t remember now to be honest. Perhaps using both of them was over kill but I trusted the Nustock, cause that is what got them out of my feet.

My sister and I also bought Structured Silver and that ended everything. When the mites bit us they also deposited a type of bacteria (we believe it is a cousin to the same kind that causes Lime disease). The Structured Silver killed the bacteria and we finally got our lives back.

I stopped driving my vehicle and walked everywhere, but my sisters, who were also impacted (we are a close family), didn’t do half the things I did. They kept their furniture and their vehicles. They just cleaned them like a bugger everyday. Vacuuming and spraying with alcohol.

We all managed to beat the mites and you can too!

My sister Karen is the one who had them first and she suffered the longest. She also had the most money, so she tried lots of the more expensive things like heat treatment in her house, cedar fogging, and other exterminators. None of that worked. The dehumidifier, the alcohol and the ammonia did the trick for the environment.
